Soybean harvest slows down in the US.

According to data released by the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea), with information from the USDA, as of September 27, 17% of the area had been harvested, compared to 18% in the same period of 2025.

After progressing more rapidly in recent weeks, the US soybean harvest has returned to a pace similar to that of the previous season. Rain in the main producing regions has limited fieldwork and may continue to influence harvest progress in the coming weeks. The delay is still small compared to the previous cycle, but weather conditions remain a concern as more areas enter the harvest window. Despite the limitations caused by the rains, US crops still show good yield potential. 58% of the areas are classified as being in good or excellent condition.

Another indicator shows the progress of maturation. Up to the period analyzed, 75% of the crops were in the leaf fall stage. This condition increases the number of areas entering the harvest phase and tends to accelerate the work as field conditions allow.

As the harvest progresses, yields observed directly in the fields should provide more accurate information about the volume produced in the United States. According to data released by Imea, these results will be important for assessing the impact of US production on the global soybean supply. Global supply tends to close higher, while the progress of the harvest will allow for a more precise assessment of the volume actually obtained in American fields.
