The weekend will be sunny with temperatures above 30°C in cities in Paraná.

The weekend will bring higher temperatures across Paraná. For those who woke up in Curitiba to cloudy weather this Friday (25), it's hard to believe, but the forecast is for sunshine across the state throughout the day and no rain on Saturday (26). According to Simepar, Paraná's Environmental Technology and Monitoring System, on Sunday (27), precisely because of the heat, rain showers may be recorded in the West and Southwest at the end of the day.

Friday began with considerable cloud cover from the east to the coast of Paraná. In the capital, some light rain was recorded in the early morning hours, but sunny spells are expected from the afternoon onwards. In the Serra do Mar mountain range and on the beaches, there will be slightly more persistent and light rain throughout the day. Maximum temperatures in these regions will not exceed 24°C.

In the Campos Gerais and Central-South regions, the day began with some fog and low clouds, which dissipated during the morning. From the West to the North, the weather is clearer, facilitating a rapid rise in temperatures, which could reach 30°C in Guaíra and 29°C in Paranavaí, Maringá, and Foz do Iguaçu.

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY – On Saturday, sunshine will prevail in most regions of Paraná. Cloud cover will remain only between the Serra do Mar mountain range and the beaches, where maximum temperatures will be around 25°C. With sunshine in other areas of the state, even in Curitiba temperatures will rise, reaching 28°C in the capital, and exceeding 30°C in the North and West.

On Sunday, the feeling of slightly more muggy weather persists, and it is precisely the heat that may favor quick and localized showers in the far west and southwest of Paraná, in a passing manner. Maximum temperatures may reach 33°C in cities in the west and northwest, 30°C in the southwest and Campos Gerais regions, and will remain between 23°C and 27°C from the coast to the Curitiba Metropolitan Region, still due to cloudiness favored by maritime circulation.

NEXT WEEK – Simepar is already monitoring the return of more consistent rainfall to Paraná next week, with rain showers in the East on Monday (28) and the passage of a cold front, which should favor the occurrence of storms from Tuesday (29). New bulletins will be issued in the coming days.
