Corn planting progresses and prices remain stable.

The market of corn In the South and parts of the Midwest, negotiations remain sporadic, with cautious buyers and more selective producers, while the progress of the new crop shares attention with the final stages of the harvest. According to a survey by TF Agroeconômica, prices remain supported in several regions, despite reduced liquidity.

In Rio Grande do Sul, prices range between R$ 60 and R$ 68 per sack, while the average state price rose 0.83% during the week, to R$ 61.60. Sowing of the first 2026/27 crop reached 54% of the planned area, compared to 38% the previous week. The weather favored the work, but the frosts of September 6th and 7th caused damage to crops in the vegetative development stage.

In Santa Catarina, prices are close to R$ 60 per sack, while demand is around R$ 55. Planting has reached 21.7% of the area, above the 6.5% of the previous week and also above the average of the last five years. However, high soil moisture is limiting progress in some areas.

In Paraná, purchase indications remain close to R$ 60 per sack, with demand around R$ 55 CIF. The planting of the first crop reached 34% of the area, compared to 18% last week, while the harvest of the second crop reached 93%. Rains interrupted work in some areas, and the incidence of corn leafhoppers and green stink bugs requires attention.

In Mato Grosso do Sul, prices range from R$ 54 to R$ 57 per sack. The bioenergy industry maintains active demand and helps support prices. The second crop harvest has reached 98% of the area, nearing completion.
