Brazil has the highest volume of egg exports since 1997

Brazilian egg exports, including fresh and processed products, recorded the best performance for a first half of the year since the beginning of the Secex historical series, which began in 1997.

According to figures analyzed by Cepea, between January and June of this year, the volume shipped grew by a significant 192% compared to the same period in 2024, totaling 24.9 thousand tons.

Revenue from sales was also a record, at US$1.5T 57.8 million in the first six months of 2025, an amount 21.6T 1.4T higher than that obtained in the same period last year.

In the domestic market, Cepea surveys show that egg prices have been falling in most regions monitored by the Research Center. Despite a slight increase in liquidity in the first two weeks, pressure for discounts in negotiations has intensified.

Cepea employees are monitoring sales this month, as the school holidays mean that part of the production ends up being used for domestic consumption, which could put further pressure on prices.
