In the Mexican case, the authorization covers ground beef destined for retail and the food industry. This is an item with a higher degree of processing compared to fresh cuts, which tends to increase the added value of exports. In 2025, Mexico imported more than US$3.1 billion in Brazilian agricultural products, predominantly meat, forestry products, and soy complex items.
For the Philippines, the market opening includes soybeans. The Asian country imported more than US$1.8 billion in agricultural products from Brazil last year. The inclusion of soybeans expands the options for exporting one of the main commodities in Brazil's agricultural portfolio and reinforces the country's presence in Southeast Asia, a region considered strategic by the government in trade negotiations.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, with these announcements, Brazilian agribusiness has opened 539 markets since the beginning of 2023. The negotiations were conducted jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture.
