
The market of corn In the South and Mato Grosso do Sul, trading continues to be marked by sporadic transactions, caution among buyers and sellers, and regional differences in price formation. According to TF Agroeconômica, exports, harvest progress, and industrial demand have influenced the pace of negotiations, but liquidity remains limited in most markets.
In Rio Grande do Sul, prices range from R$ 58.00 to R$ 65.00 per sack, while the state average rose 0.54% during the week, to R$ 59.32. Industries are buying for restocking, and producers are restricting sales, waiting for better opportunities. Shipments at the beginning of August gained importance for demand, although they are still below the same period in 2025.
In Santa Catarina, prices close to R$ 60.00 contrast with demand around R$ 55.00 per sack, hindering new deals. Consumers are using up existing stocks and buying as needed, while producers maintain a firm stance.
In Paraná, prices are also close to R$ 60.00, with demand around R$ 55.00 CIF. The producer price closed last week at R$ 56.79 per sack, up 7.8% from the July average and 11% compared to August 2025. The second crop harvest reached 73% of the more than 2.9 million hectares, with 91% of the crops in good condition, despite some isolated quality problems.
In Mato Grosso do Sul, prices remain between R$48.00 and R$50.00 per sack. The bioenergy industry is absorbing part of the supply and helping to limit price pressure, while buyers maintain short-term purchases and stock replenishment.
