Goiás confirms its leading role in the Nelore Quality Circuit.

The Brazilian Nelore Breeders Association (ACNB) held another stage of the Nelore Quality Circuit in the city of Senador Canedo (GO), on September 19th. At the Friboi headquarters, 1,054 animals, all finished in feedlots and registered by 12 ranchers, were evaluated. The initiative was the result of collaboration between ACNB, the Goiana Nelore Association (AGN), Matsuda Seeds and Animal Nutrition, and the meat processing plant.

Of the total animals evaluated, 1,088 were uncastrated males, of which 92% had up to two permanent incisor teeth, indicating an age of less than 2 years. Among the males, 67% also had milk teeth (approximately 20 months old) and 57% had a medium fat cover. The average weight was 23 arrobas (approximately 250 kg).

Among the females, 46 animals were evaluated, of which 100% presented milk teeth (20 months) and medium or uniform fat cover, with an average weight of 19.5 arrobas. “The stage of the 2025 Nelore Quality Circuit held in the city of Senador Canedo was a true success. We are very proud of the results achieved, which demonstrate the excellent quality of the 1,054 animals evaluated – the result of the dedicated work of the Nelore breeders in the region. Our expectation is that the next stages will maintain this high level of quality and performance,” highlights the executive manager of ACNB, André Locateli.

Among the best lots of male carcassesThe gold medal award was won by Agroparanã, from Fazenda Eldorado (Iaciara/GO). The silver medal went to Fazenda Reunidas Baumgart (Rio Verde/GO), while the bronze medal was awarded to Evaldo Vicentini, from Fazenda Brasília (Jussara/GO).

Fazenda Reunidas Baumgart also won the gold medal for best batch of female carcasses.

Nelore Quality Circuit       

Organized by the Brazilian Nelore Breeders Association (ACNB), the Nelore Quality Circuit strengthens and promotes Nelore genetics, contributing to the evolution of the breed and its positioning as a producer of quality meat. The initiative evaluates results obtained by producers, each within their own reality and production system.

Promoted in Brazil since 1999, the Circuit has the support of Friboi, Frisa, Cooperfrigu, Fribal, Masterboi, and Matsuda Sementes e Nutrição Animal. In Bolivia, the initiative has the support of the local meatpacking plant Fridosa and is organized in conjunction with Asocebu. In Paraguay, the organization is by the Paraguayan Association of Nelore Breeders, with support from Minerva Foods. The Nelore Quality Circuit is the largest bovine carcass evaluation championship in the world.
