Pork exports reach highest monthly volume in history.

Brazilian pork exports (considering all products, both fresh and processed) totaled 151,600 tons in September. This is the highest monthly volume ever recorded by the sector, exceeding by 25.91% the total exported in the same period last year, which was 120,400 tons.

Revenue from exports in September is also a record. In total, US$368.4 million was achieved this year, exceeding by 29.91TP4 the total reached in the same period last year, which was US$283.7 million.

With the impressive performance in September, pork shipments have already accumulated a 13.21% increase in export volume between January and September of this year compared to the same period last year, totaling 1.121 million tons in 2025, against 990,700 tons in the same period last year. In revenue, the increase reaches 24.61%, with US$2.702 billion this year, against US$2.169 billion in the previous year.

The Philippines continues to expand its share of Brazilian exports, with 49,000 tons of pork imported in September – a 73.91% increase compared to the same period last year. Next are China, with 13,600 tons (-18.21%), Japan, with 11,400 tons (+32.41%), Vietnam, with 9,600 tons (+39.81%), Mexico, with 9,600 tons (+55.81%), Chile, with 8,300 tons (-13.71%), Hong Kong, with 8,200 tons (-5.31%), Singapore, with 5,600 tons (+2.21%), Argentina, with 4,200 tons (+82.21%), and Georgia, with 4,000 tons (+120%).

“Although it is the main destination, the Philippines is not the only driver of the strong demand for Brazilian products, which is growing at significantly high rates in strategic markets. The trend is for continued demand, with the year closing with record results,” assesses the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin.

Santa Catarina remains the largest exporting state of pork, with 72,700 tons exported in September (+17.41% of the total exported pork compared to the same period of the previous year), followed by Rio Grande do Sul, with 35,700 tons (+39.61% of the total exported pork), Paraná, with 25,300 tons (+35.51% of the total exported pork), Minas Gerais, with 2,900 tons (-10.61% of the total exported pork) and Mato Grosso, with 3,900 tons (+19.11% of the total exported pork).
