Famato strengthens dialogue with the Government of Mato Grosso in defense of producers and the productive sector.

The Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of Mato Grosso (Famato) met this Tuesday (September 16th) with Governor Mauro Mendes to discuss a topic that directly concerns rural producers and impacts the development of the state: the processes related to the issuance of regularity certificates for Permanent Preservation Areas (APPs) in federal rivers. The meeting also included representatives from the Secretariat of Federal Property (SPU), the State Secretariat for the Environment (Sema), the General Corregidor of Justice, the OAB-MT (Brazilian Bar Association - Mato Grosso chapter), and the 1st Notary Office of Barra do Garças.

Represented by legal consultant Rodrigo Bressane and land affairs analyst Dione Castro, Famato conveyed to the governor the productive sector's concern regarding the need for legal security in these processes, which are fundamental for the transfer of properties and the continuation of rural activities. The organization argues that any procedure must be conducted with balance, respecting environmental requirements, but also guaranteeing working conditions and the producer's right to remain in the countryside.

By participating in this agenda, Famato reaffirms its role as the legitimate representative of rural families, seeking joint solutions that strengthen trust between public and private institutions. Ongoing dialogue with the state government and other agencies is part of the Federation's continuous work to ensure that Mato Grosso producers have legal stability, recognition of their economic role, and security to invest.

“Famato has been working firmly to guarantee legal security for rural producers. The issue of issuing APP (Permanent Preservation Area) certificates in federal rivers requires balance and joint solutions, and this meeting with Governor Mauro Mendes shows the importance of uniting efforts between institutions. Our goal is to ensure that producers have legal support and confidence to invest, preserving the environment and strengthening the productive sector,” said Rodrigo Bressane.

For the organization, meetings like this are opportunities to align efforts in favor of environmental preservation, land regularization, and sustainable production. Famato has been working tirelessly to ensure that Mato Grosso continues to move forward, always reconciling environmental responsibility with the strength of agribusiness, which is the basis of the state's economy and development.

“This meeting represents an important step in the dialogue with the Executive branch. Our mission is to bring the reality of rural producers into the technical and institutional discussions. We are working to ensure that the regularization processes move forward safely, clearly, and with respect for the law, but also with attention to the families who live off the land and need stability to continue producing and contributing to Mato Grosso,” Dione pointed out.
