Revenue from Brazilian pork exports in April was the second highest in Secex's historical series, which began in 1997.
Data from the Secretariat analyzed by Cepea show that the 127.8 thousand tons of pork products (in natura and processed) shipped last month generated R$1.73 billion, an amount 9.3% higher than in March and a significant 40% higher than in April/24.
The volume exported in April/25 was a record for the month and the third largest in the Secex series, in addition to representing increases of 11.4% in relation to March and 14.5% compared to a year ago.
In the domestic market, Cepea surveys indicate that supply is balanced with demand in almost all regions monitored. Agents consulted by the Research Center indicate that demand is firm, but has not heated up as expected for the beginning of the month. In this scenario, the prices of live pigs and meat are practically stable.
