Imea (Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics) released a report showing updates on the state's corn harvest. The survey highlights that the 2023/24 corn harvest has already been sold in the state at 98%, while the 2024/24 season has advanced to 37,57%.

The last harvest registered a growth of 1.38 percentage points in February/25, reaching 98% of the total produced in Mato Grosso. “This increase was driven by the increase in the price sold in the state of 7.92% compared to January/25, which closed February/25 with an average of R$ 60.40/sc”, highlights Imea.

For the current season, which is still being sown, sales increased by 6.89 percentage points over the last month and reached 37.57% of the production forecast for this year.

“Despite the 2.80% drop in price compared to Jan/25, the monthly growth in business was driven by producers’ interest in halting part of their production, since the cereal sowing is in the final stretch”, explain Imea technicians.

Finally, the 2025/26 harvest registered its first transactions throughout February, with 0.51% of the expected production now already sold. In these first registrations, prices were R$ 41.82/sc.
