Corn prices hold up amid more cautious sales.

The market of corn The report shows sporadic negotiations in the South and Mato Grosso do Sul, with cautious buyers, more selective producers, and prices supported amid the progress of the new crop and the final stages of harvesting in some regions. According to TF Agroeconômica, the combination of tighter supply, replacement demand, and greater firmness from sellers has limited liquidity, but continues to support prices.

In Rio Grande do Sul, prices range between R$ 59 and R$ 70 per sack. The average state price, according to Emater, rose 1.43% during the week, to R$ 61.09. Planting for the 2026/27 crop progressed with improved field conditions, and the estimated area reached 896,400 hectares, an increase of 7.42%. Projected production is 6.91 million tons.

In Santa Catarina, prices remain close to R$ 60 per sack, while demand is around R$ 55. The state consumes approximately 8.5 million tons of corn per year and produced 2.67 million tons in the 2025/26 harvest, maintaining a deficit of approximately 6 million tons and dependence on grain from other regions and Paraguay.

In Paraná, purchase indications are also close to R$ 60 per sack. The second crop harvest has reached 89% of the area. Planting of the first 2026/27 crop has reached 18% of the 373,000 hectares projected, according to Deral.

In Mato Grosso do Sul, prices range from R$ 54 to R$ 57 per sack. Stronger sellers and purchases by the bioenergy industry are helping to support prices, although transactions remain sporadic.
