
The market of corn In the South and Mato Grosso do Sul, the situation remains marked by sporadic negotiations, cautious buyers, and selective producers in their sales, amidst the progress of the harvest and the behavior of exports. According to TF Agroeconômica, external demand has helped sustain some markets, while high supply and consumer resistance limit a broader price reaction.
In Rio Grande do Sul, prices range from R$ 58 to R$ 65 per sack, and the state average rose 0.54% during the week, to R$ 59.32. Industries are buying mainly for restocking, while producers await better opportunities. The increase in shipments at the beginning of August reinforces the importance of exports, although volumes are still below the same period in 2025.
In Santa Catarina, prices close to R$ 60 per sack are met with demand around R$ 55, keeping the market restricted. Consumers are using existing stocks and buying as needed, while sellers are limiting new offers.
In Paraná, prices are also close to R$ 60, with demand around R$ 55 CIF. The producer price closed last week at R$ 56.79 per sack, up 7.8% from the July average and 11% compared to August 2025. The second crop harvest reached 73% of the area, with 91% of the crops in good condition. Despite support from the international appreciation of the cereal, the high supply may increase pressure on prices.
In Mato Grosso do Sul, prices remain between R$ 48 and R$ 50 per sack. Demand is concentrated on short-term replenishments, while the bioenergy industry absorbs part of the supply and helps limit the pressure from new production.
