Union of agricultural entities guarantees a freeze on Fethab until the end of 2026 in Mato Grosso.

The Government of Mato Grosso published this Wednesday (May 14th) Law No. 13,357, of May 13, 2026, which extends the freeze on the State Transportation and Housing Fund (Fethab) until December 31, 2026. The measure, identified as one of the priority demands by the associated producers of Aprosoja Mato Grosso in a General Assembly, was consolidated after broad institutional coordination that brought together Aprosoja MT, the State Government, the Legislative Assembly, Famato, AMPA, Acrimat and other entities of the Agro Forum around the need to provide more predictability and security to the productive sector.

For the sector, maintaining the current Fethab value represents greater predictability and security for planning future harvests. In a scenario of high interest rates and tight margins, the freeze also helps to alleviate financial pressure on rural properties and ensure the continuity of activities in the field.

The association's work with the State Government and the Legislative Assembly was fundamental to maintaining the measure. It's important to emphasize that any increase in the tax burden at this time could have a direct impact on agricultural production and the economy of Mato Grosso.

In this context, maintaining the freeze on Fethab (a Brazilian agricultural tax) represents an important action to guarantee minimum conditions of competitiveness for rural producers, preserving the sustainability of agricultural activity in the current economic scenario.

Aprosoja Mato Grosso reiterates that it will continue to act in defense of rural producers, seeking measures that promote a more favorable environment for production, reduce the tax burden on the sector, and strengthen the competitiveness of agriculture in Mato Grosso.
