National Soybean Forum debates geopolitics and grain market at Expodireto Cotrijal

One of the most traditional forums at Expodireto Cotrijal, the National Soybean Forum, is in its 35th edition and will be held next Tuesday (11), starting at 9 am, at the Central Auditorium of Expodireto Park, in Não-Me-Toque (RS). Topics such as the new geopolitics of agribusiness and the grain market will be discussed in lectures promoted by the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (FecoAgro/RS) and Cotrijal with the support of CCGL and the Ocergs Sescoop System.

Founder of FCGI, Ricardo Geromel

The first lecture of the day will be given by Ricardo Geromel, one of Brazil’s leading experts on China. He will address the topic “The Impact of New Geopolitics on Agribusiness – The Power of China”. Geromel is the founder of FCGI, a company that focuses on connecting the best of Brazil with the best of China and the world.

He holds a degree in business administration from Farleigh Dickison University in New Jersey and a Masters in Management, specializing in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, from ESCP Europe. He received a full scholarship to pursue a postgraduate degree in the New Silk Road program at the prestigious Tsinghua University, the best university in China, where current President Xi Jinping studied.

In the second panel of the day, André Debastiani, managing partner of Agroconsult, will present the topic “Agroconsult Scenarios for the Soybean and Corn Markets”. An agricultural engineer from UFSC, a business administrator from FESAG/Única-SC, a postgraduate in finance from FGV and a master’s degree in business management from UDESC, Debastiani is also the consultancy’s analyst for the grain market and is the general coordinator of the Harvest Rally.
