The Conab report indicates that the states of Rondônia and Mato Grosso do Sul had a 29.4% growth in grain harvests, the highest in the country and much higher than the national average of 14%. Rondônia recorded 4,153.4 tons in 2023/2024 and 5,373.5 tons in the 2024/2025 harvest. The governor of Rondônia, Marcos Rocha, highlighted the strategic role of the state in the growth of national production. “We are reaping the fruits of serious work and commitment to the development of agribusiness. The state government has invested in improving roads, strengthening technical assistance and stimulating family and corporate farming. These results show that we are on the right track, making a difference in the lives of those who produce and those who consume”, he pointed out.
Soybeans and corn
The soybean harvest in Brazil reached 97.7% of the cultivated area in the first week of May, and the 2024/25 harvest continues to confirm itself as the largest ever harvested in the country's history. Among the highlights is the soybean productivity in Rondônia, which reached historic levels, in line with the national performance that forecasts 168.3 million tons. The report points out that favorable climate conditions and the professionalism of rural producers, combined with efficient public policies, have increased the sector's competitiveness. In corn, the state also contributed to the national estimate of 126.9 million tons, a result driven by good planning and management of crops.
Investments
The Secretary of State for Agriculture, Luiz Paulo, emphasizes that the state government has been working to ensure favorable conditions for rural producers in the field. “Rural credit programs, incentives for mechanization, training of technicians and farmers, and policies for the distribution of production have been fundamental to achieving this performance. Support for rural producers is a priority for this administration,” he highlighted.
