Planting bean<\/a> The first crop is progressing at different paces in Rio Grande do Sul, while mild and cold temperatures are limiting the initial growth of the crops. According to data released by Emater\/RS-Ascar this Thursday (October 22), sowing has already reached 84% of the planned area in the Iju\u00ed region, and the average state price per 60-kilo bag has fallen 1.29%, to R$ 212.22.\n<\/p>\n

The planting of the first bean crop is uneven across the state. Progress is more significant in lower altitude regions, while in higher areas, such as the Campos de Cima da Serra, work has not yet begun. Established crops are in vegetative development, but show slow initial growth in areas affected by mild and cold temperatures, especially at night. In the more advanced areas, the plants have begun to form the first trifoliate leaves. In some properties, nitrogen topdressing has already been completed.<\/p>\n

To date, no significant problems with insect pests have been identified in the crops monitored by Emater\/RS-Ascar. The state projection is for 24,587 hectares to be planted with first-crop beans, with an initial estimated yield of 1,759 kilograms per hectare.\n<\/p>\n

In the Emater\/RS-Ascar administrative region of Iju\u00ed, sowing reached 841 TP4T of the planned area. The crops are in the trifoliate leaf formation stage, with slow development due to climatic conditions. During the monitored period, no insect pests were observed. In the Santa Maria region, planting reached 551 TP4T of the projected area. In Soledade, fertilization management was completed in the lower altitude areas. In the higher regions of Centro-Serra and Alto da Serra do Botucara\u00ed, sowing reached 801 TP4T, and nitrogen fertilizer applications were also carried out as topdressing.<\/p>\n

In addition to the progress in planting, the bean market registered a drop in prices paid to producers in Rio Grande do Sul. According to the weekly price survey by Emater\/RS-Ascar, the average state price per 60-kilogram sack fell from R$215.00 to R$212.22, a reduction of 1.29%. This decline occurred during the progress of the first crop sowing, which is in different stages of implementation and development in the producing regions of Rio Grande do Sul.\n<\/p>\n
