By Friday (9), planting had reached 33,28% of the estimated area, an advance of 23.04 percentage points (pp) compared to the previous week. The data is from the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea).<\/p>\n<p>The accumulated percentage is similar to that recorded in the same period of the 2023\/24 crop year, although it is still 1.81 percentage points below that cycle. Compared to the 2025\/26 season, planting is 12.06 percentage points ahead. However, it is important to consider that last year, the drought limited the progress of the work.<\/p>\n<p>Among the state&#039;s regions, the Mid-North and West stood out this week, with advances of 35.58 pp and 23.42 pp, respectively. The result was mainly driven by larger farms, which intensified sowing operations.<\/p>\n<p>The rains also helped accelerate fieldwork in the Southeast and Northeast regions.
