Planting bean<\/a> The first harvest is progressing at different paces in Rio Grande do Sul, depending on temperature and humidity conditions. According to data released by Emater\/RS-Ascar, the projected area is 24,587 hectares, with an initial estimated productivity of 1,759 kg per hectare.\n<\/p>\n

The planting of the first crop occurs according to the thermal and humidity conditions of each region. In lower altitude areas, where the second crop is also planted, planting is nearing its final third. In higher altitude regions, however, planting has not yet begun. The rise in temperatures has favored the resumption of crop development, although colder environments still reduce the initial growth rate.<\/p>\n

According to data released by Emater\/RS-Ascar, events of intense rain, wind, and hail caused localized damage in already planted areas. In areas prepared for planting, the damage was limited to soil loss due to erosion. Weed and pest control are among the main management practices currently being carried out.\n<\/p>\n

In the Emater\/RS-Ascar administrative region of Iju\u00ed, planting has reached 621 TP4T of the planned area. The rise in temperatures has improved crop development. Producers are also implementing management practices to control pests and weeds. In the Santa Maria region, more than 501 TP4T of the first crop has already been planted. Part of the fields were affected by hail and torrential rains accompanied by strong winds. These events caused physical damage and toppling of the plants.<\/p>\n

In the Soledade region, in the Lower Vale do Rio Pardo, sowing for family subsistence has been completed. Commercial cultivation, however, remains relatively small. In the Centro Serra and Alto da Serra do Botucara\u00ed regions, the areas are prepared and some have already been sown for commercial purposes. The predominance of lower temperatures reduces the speed of initial development and conditions the pace of planting. Approximately 20% of the area has been sown in the region, according to data released by Emater\/RS-Ascar.\n<\/p>\n

In addition to the progress in crop cultivation, bean prices also increased in Rio Grande do Sul. According to data released by Emater\/RS-Ascar, the average price per 60-kilogram sack increased by 5.46% in the weekly survey conducted in the state. The price went from R$ 186.60 to R$ 196.78.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
