This represents a 5 percentage point increase in just one week, bringing the pace 1 percentage point higher than that recorded during the same period of the 2025\/26 crop year. The faster pace was favored by the advanced maturation of the crops and the dry weather. The lower grain moisture provided more favorable conditions for machinery to enter the field and for work to progress.<\/p>\n

Despite the progress of the harvest, crop quality remained stable last week. According to data released by Imea, 57% of the areas were classified as being in good or excellent condition. However, this percentage is 9 percentage points lower than that recorded in the same period of the previous cycle. According to data released by Imea, the lower quality observed throughout the crop's development has been reflected in the yields of the areas. US corn production is estimated at 401.33 million tons. This volume represents a decrease of 7.171 TP4T compared to the record achieved in the 2025\/26 crop year. According to data released by Imea, based on USDA data, the reduction reflects the smaller planted area and the prospect of lower productivity. Even with the decrease, the projected production remains the second largest in the country's history.\n<\/p>\n
