The crops of wheat<\/a> In Rio Grande do Sul, they are advancing towards the final stages of the cycle, with grain filling and the beginning of maturation predominating. According to data released by Emater\/RS-Ascar in the Conjunctural Report on Thursday (24), 54% of the areas are in grain filling, 23% in flowering, 13% in maturation and 9% in vegetative development. Harvesting reaches 1% of the area, concentrated in regions of the Northwest of the state.\n<\/p>\n

According to data released by Emater\/RS-Ascar, weather conditions up to September 20 were generally favorable for crop development, with good availability of solar radiation and lower temperatures at the beginning of the period, followed by a gradual increase throughout the week.<\/p>\n

The projected area for the 2026 harvest is 814,220 hectares, with an estimated average productivity of 2,701 kilograms per hectare.<\/p>\n

According to data released by Emater\/RS-Ascar, crops in Rio Grande do Sul are predominantly in reproductive stages. Grain filling accounts for more than half of the cultivated areas, while maturation is progressing in the earlier regions. In the Planalto M\u00e9dio region, the frosts recorded on September 7th and 8th caused moderate damage, mainly in areas that were flowering during the event.<\/p>\n

The rainfall accompanied by winds, recorded in the early morning of September 21st, also caused localized impacts, such as crop lodging and erosion processes, the extent of which is still being assessed.<\/p>\n

According to data released by Emater\/RS-Ascar, high humidity has increased the incidence of diseases in areas undergoing flowering and grain filling. The main concern is related to Fusarium head blight and foliar diseases, which has required intensified fungicide applications in different producing regions.\n<\/p>\n

In the Frederico Westphalen region, a significant incidence of Fusarium head blight was observed. In Santa Rosa, phytosanitary problems were associated with high humidity, operational difficulties in applying pesticides, and the lower efficiency of some treatments.<\/p>\n

In the Caxias do Sul region, especially in the Campos de Cima da Serra, the high rainfall and humidity have favored the development of diseases, keeping producers under constant monitoring.<\/p>\n

In the Bag\u00e9 region, especially in the Western Border area, municipalities such as S\u00e3o Borja, Ma\u00e7ambar\u00e1, and Manoel Viana benefited from the rains of September 19th and the mild temperatures. Part of the area is in the final stages of grain filling and the beginning of maturation, with good productive potential. In Santa Margarida do Sul, intense rains and winds caused lodging in crops during the grain-filling stage and localized erosion problems.<\/p>\n

In the Campanha region, rainfall, after more than three weeks without significant volumes, improved water conditions and favored crop development.<\/p>\n

In Erechim, approximately 30% of the crops remain in vegetative development and 70% are in grain filling, with intensified phytosanitary treatments.<\/p>\n

In the Iju\u00ed region, weather conditions favored the flowering areas and allowed for the continuation of phytosanitary management. Approximately 101% of the crops are already maturing. In Passo Fundo, 201% of the areas are flowering and 801% of the areas are in the grain-filling stage.\n<\/p>\n

In the Pelotas region, 34% of the crops are in vegetative development, 54% in flowering, and 12% in grain filling. According to data released by Emater\/RS-Ascar, the sequence of cloudy days, frequent rains, and low solar radiation during August and September caused a delay in crop development.<\/p>\n

In Santa Rosa, 67% of the crops are in the grain-filling stage, 17% have already reached maturity, and approximately 2% have been harvested.<\/p>\n

In the Soledade region, approximately 30% of the areas are in the heading and flowering stages, while 70% are in the grain filling stage. According to data released by Emater\/RS-Ascar, temperatures and solar radiation have favored crop performance, and phytosanitary treatments are in their final phase.<\/p>\n

Despite challenges related to diseases and specific weather events, the prevailing scenario in the state is still one of crops with good productive potential, especially in areas managed with higher levels of technology and appropriate management practices.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
