In recent weeks, however, rice has returned to the R$ 80 per sack range, while exports have gained importance and the perception of future supply has begun to change.<\/p>\n<p>Credit also gained importance in this assessment. In Brazil, rural business credit contracts reached R$65.7 billion in the first two months of the 2026\/27 crop season, with the Southern Region leading in the number of contracts. For Cardoso, this does not eliminate financing difficulties, but it shows a different environment from that observed when the first planting intentions were formed.\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_4_conteudo_mobile\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"mb-4\">\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_5_conteudo_desktop\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"d-none d-lg-block mb-md-4\">\n<\/div>\n<p>In Uruguay, BROU announced an increase of up to 20% in lines of credit for the 2026\/27 crop season. Furthermore, the government, producers, and industry agreed on an instrument with the potential to mobilize approximately US$$ 50 million, with financing of up to US$$ 500 per hectare.<\/p>\n<p>The analysis highlights that better prices do not guarantee increased acreage, and greater credit availability does not mean cheaper financing. Even so, the combination of rising rice prices, available resources, and improved expectations may lead producers in Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay to reconsider some of their planned reductions.
