The Brazilian market of corn<\/a> The market closed Wednesday with a decline in futures contracts, as states experienced different paces of marketing, harvesting, and planting. According to TF Agroecon\u00f4mica, the B3 (Brazilian Stock Exchange) reflected profit-taking in Chicago and the revision of the August export estimate, reduced by Anec (National Association of Agricultural Research Corporations) from 5.63 million to 5.45 million tons.\n<\/p>\n

On the B3 exchange, September 2026 closed at R$ 71.29, a decrease of R$ 0.73 on the day. November ended at R$ 77.65, down R$ 0.63, and January 2027 closed at R$ 80.91, down R$ 0.54.<\/p>\n

In Rio Grande do Sul, the yields ranged from R$ 58 to R$ 65 per sack, while the state average from Emater rose 1.53%, to R$ 60.23. Planting for the 2026\/27 crop is progressing unevenly, limited by humidity and rainfall, although some regions are already registering more significant progress.<\/p>\n

In Santa Catarina, business remains restricted, with references close to R$ 60 and demand around R$ 55 per sack. The state needs about 8.5 million tons per year, compared to a production of 2.67 million in 2025\/26, which maintains a high dependence on corn from other sources.\n<\/p>\n

In Paran\u00e1, the harvest of the second crop reached 83% of the area, while the planting of the 2026\/27 cycle reached 6%. The price to the producer closed the last week at R$ 56.79 per sack, an increase of 7.8% over the July average.<\/p>\n

In Mato Grosso do Sul, prices ranged between R$ 50 and R$ 55 per sack. Demand from the bioenergy industry helps absorb supply and support prices, while buyers remain focused on restocking and sellers maintain a selective stance. Overall, supply is supported by domestic demand and the greater weight of exports.<\/p>\n
