The 40th edition of the Soybean Research Meeting (RPS), the main scientific forum dedicated to the soybean agricultural complex, will be held on June 10th and 11th by Embrapa Soja at Buffet Planalto in Londrina (PR). According to data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), American production totaled 115.99 million tons, cultivated on 32.55 million hectares. Furthermore, according to Conab, Mato Grosso, Brazil's largest soybean producer, recorded a spectacular harvest of 51.62 million tons. This result stems from a powerful combination: the largest planted area in the country, with 13 million hectares, coupled with an impressive productivity of 3,969 kg per hectare (kg\/ha), the highest among major producers.<\/p>\n Paran\u00e1 secured second place nationally, with a production of 21.55 million tons of the grain, cultivated in an area of 5.74 million hectares. Closely following in second place, Goi\u00e1s consolidates its strength in the Central-West region with a production of 20.15 million tons.<\/p>\n In fourth place in the ranking, Rio Grande do Sul presents a contrasting scenario. The state of Rio Grande do Sul has the second largest area dedicated to soybeans in the country, with 6.73 million hectares, surpassing Paran\u00e1 and Goi\u00e1s in land area.
