After the severe storms that hit Mato Grosso do Sul over the weekend, the forecast indicates a more stable week for the Central-West region of the country. According to meteorologist Estael Sias, the risk of new extreme events decreases significantly in the coming days.<\/p>\n
The recent highlight was the city of F\u00e1tima do Sul (MS), which recorded hailstones up to 11 centimeters in diameter \u2014 considered gigantic by meteorological standards.<\/p>\n
"It was a severe weather situation. An 11-centimeter hailstone is capable of destroying crops, tearing roofs off houses, and even putting lives at risk," Estael stated.<\/p>\n
The storms also caused damage to agricultural areas in Dourados, Deod\u00e1polis, and Vicentina, with damage to corn crops and vehicles.<\/p>\n
According to the meteorologist, the scenario changes throughout this week. Despite the presence of clouds in parts of the region, the trend is for a reduction in rainfall until Thursday, with instability returning only between Friday and Sunday.<\/p>\n
"The cold weather is arriving in the Midwest, but it won't be as intense as last week. The risk of severe storms is also much lower," he explained.<\/p>\n
Temperatures are expected to drop moderately, especially in southern Mato Grosso do Sul, with lows between 8\u00b0C and 10\u00b0C. However, no frost is forecast.<\/p>\n
In Dourados, the forecast indicates days of sun with some clouds, light rain only at the end of the week, and favorable conditions for fieldwork, such as spraying.<\/p>\n
In Goi\u00e1s, municipalities like An\u00e1polis should expect dry weather, heat, and low relative humidity over the next few days.
\n"It's a hot and dry week in An\u00e1polis. Humidity is still at comfortable levels, but it tends to decrease in the coming weeks," warned Estael.
