In the 4th week of April 2026, the trade balance recorded a surplus of US$1.7 billion and a trade flow of US$11.6 billion, resulting from exports worth US$6.7 billion and imports of US$4.9 billion.<\/p>\n

For the month, exports totaled US$27.8 billion and imports US$18.7 billion, resulting in a positive balance of US$9.2 billion and a trade flow of US$46.5 billion.<\/p>\n

For the year, exports totaled US$110.2 billion and imports US$86.8 billion, resulting in a positive balance of US$23.3 billion and a trade flow of US$197 billion. These, and other results, were published this Monday (April 27th) by the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (Secex\/MDIC).<\/p>\n

In exports, comparing the averages up to the 4th week of April 2026 (US$ 1.739 billion) with that of April 2025 (US$ 1.494 billion), there was a growth of 16.4%. Regarding imports, there was a growth of 5.1% when comparing the averages up to the 4th week of April 2026 (US$ 1.167 billion) with that of April 2025 (US$ 1.111 billion).<\/div>\n

Thus, up to the 4th week of April 2026, the daily average of the total trade flow was US$2,907.12 million and the balance, also on a daily average basis, was US$572.39 million. Comparing this period with the average for April 2025, there was an increase of 11.61% in the trade flow.<\/p>\n

In the accumulated period up to the 4th week of April 2026, compared to the same month of the previous year, the performance of the export sectors by daily average was as follows: growth of US$ 76.3 million (19.2%) in Agriculture; of US$ 53.65 million (15.3%) in Extractive Industry and of US$ 113.89 million (15.5%) in products of the Manufacturing Industry.<\/p>\n

In the accumulated figures up to the 4th week of April 2026, compared to the same month of the previous year, the performance of the importing sectors by daily average was as follows: growth of US$ 3.88 million (7.1%) in Extractive Industry and of US$ 59.11 million (5.8%) in products of the Manufacturing Industry; there was a decrease of US$ 7.95 million (28.1%) in Agriculture.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
