In total, there were 71 days of evaluations, with 34,880 kilometers traveled, 998 analyses performed, and 103 municipalities visited. The survey covered 97.92% of the total area of soybeans cultivated in Mato Grosso in the 2025/26 crop season.

During the visits, the team evaluated quantitative and qualitative indicators of the crops, such as the number of plants per hectare, pods and grains per plant, grain weight and moisture, as well as the presence of pests, diseases, weeds, and damaged grains.

Based on the analyses, IMEA estimated that Mato Grosso should register a record soybean production in the 2025/26 harvest, reaching 51.56 million tons. The planted area was estimated at 13.013 million hectares, with an average productivity of 66.03 sacks per hectare.

Henrique explained that, although productivity did not surpass the record of the previous cycle, the state achieved the highest production volume ever recorded, driven by the growth in cultivated area. Last season, Mato Grosso harvested 50.89 million tons, with a record productivity of 66.29 sacks per hectare.

The analyst also highlighted that the harvest faced climatic challenges throughout the cycle, with water deficits at the beginning of planting in some regions and excessive rainfall in the final phase, which impacted grain weight. One point of concern was the increase in crops with damaged grains. The survey indicated an increase of 3.4% compared to the previous harvest, a factor that directly reduces production yield.

Regarding the second corn crop, Henrique warned of the planting delay caused by excessive rainfall in February, which hampered soybean harvesting and delayed the progress of field operations. IMEA estimated that 1.17 million hectares were sown outside the ideal window, a number higher than that recorded last year.

For corn, the current projection indicates a planted area of 7.39 million hectares, an estimated average productivity of 116.6 sacks per hectare, and a projected production of 51.72 million tons. According to Henrique, the final result still depends directly on the weather patterns in the coming weeks, especially the rains expected at the end of April and beginning of May.

The analyst also addressed the market scenario and production costs, pointing to increased expenses for the next season. According to data released by IMEA, the estimated total cost of soybeans for the 2026/27 crop is R$ 8,037.13 per hectare, an increase of 4.70%. For corn, the projected total cost is R$ 7,303.96 per hectare, an increase of 8.59%.

Henrique emphasized that, in addition to rising costs, producers face a tighter profitability scenario and climate uncertainties with the possibility of the El Niño phenomenon, which tends to bring greater instability in rainfall and increase risks to productive performance.

17th Parecis SuperAgro
Parecis SuperAgro is an event organized by the Rural Union of Campo Novo do Parecis and is sponsored by Aprosoja – MT, Senar – MT, Aster (JD Dealership), Sicoob Credisul and Sicredi, in addition to the support of the Municipality of Campo Novo do Parecis and the Municipal Chamber of Campo Novo do Parecis.

THE MM Cereais works with the best grains on the market in the Central West Region and also keeps you up to date with the latest news and analyses on agribusiness.
Don't forget to follow our social networks.

Access News Source

A análise da produção e as perspectivas para o campo em Mato Grosso foram apresentadas…

[90
240,239,521
post-26917","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-centro-oeste","tag-agricultura","tag-agronegocio","tag-graos
["GET
