The CEO of the Paran\u00e1 Agricultural Defense Agency (Adapar), Otamir C\u00e9sar Martins, signed this Tuesday (13) the document that extends the soybean planting period in the State, adjusting the sowing calendar due to the impacts caused by climatic factors in the 2025\/2026 crop. The measure specifically addresses soybean seed producers who faced delays in the release of agricultural areas due to adverse conditions that compromised the cycle of preceding crops, such as corn and beans. \u201cAs Paran\u00e1 is one of the largest seed producers, the registration of companies is currently underway. From there, the inspection process regarding seed production will begin,\u201d says Otamir Martins.<\/p>\n
The extension of the planting season is formalized through Ordinance No. 024, of January 2026, from Adapar, and is valid exclusively for areas destined for soybean seed production in Paran\u00e1. Even with the change in the calendar, the soybean Sanitary Break remains mandatory, as stipulated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa), through a specific ordinance of the federal government. \u201cThis period \u2013 the Sanitary Break \u2013 cannot be less than 90 consecutive days, and must respect the dates already established for the current crop season,\u201d noted the head of the Plant Health Department of Adapar, Paulo Brand\u00e3o.<\/p>\n
