The Mato Grosso Soybean and Corn Producers Association (Aprosoja MT) celebrates the decision of major agricultural trading companies to formally inform civil society organizations of their withdrawal from the Soybean Moratorium.<\/p>\n
This is a victory for soybean producers who, for so many years, have been harmed by a private and illegal agreement that is incompatible with national legislation, asymmetrical in its application, and unfair to those who comply with the Brazilian Forest Code.<\/p>\n
The decision by the Supreme Federal Court (STF) that allowed the effectiveness of Law No. 12.709\/2024, and the consequent reinstatement of the state regulation, represents an important reinforcement of legal certainty, free enterprise, and the sovereignty of rural producers.<\/p>\n
Similarly, the actions of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) identified evidence of a cartel and a potential affront to economic order in the context of the Moratorium, whose effectiveness, according to the council's own decision, ceased to be valid as of January 1, 2026.<\/p>\n
Therefore, there is a clear recognition that, from the outset, the association was correct in fighting an agreement that was incompatible with national legislation, asymmetrical in its application, and unfair to producers who comply with the Brazilian Forest Code.<\/p>\n
Aprosoja MT remains committed to responsible agricultural practices, compliance with national legislation, and the defense of instruments that guarantee sustainable economic growth, not through private impositions, but from a clear, stable, and fair legal environment for all producers.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
