The reduced activity of sellers, who remain focused on activities related to planting the summer crop, is keeping corn prices firm in most regions monitored by Cepea.<\/p>\n

Demand is sporadic, with deals occurring as needed to replenish inventories. Meanwhile, in the international market, prices are falling, influenced by estimates pointing to higher global production between the 2024\/25 and 2025\/26 seasons.<\/p>\n

However, the declines were contained by strong international demand for US grain. On the external front, Brazilian shipments are more intense in November \u2013 according to Secex, the daily average of shipments is 7.6% above that of November 2024. As a result, in 10 working days of November, 2.67 million tons of corn were shipped.<\/p>\n

If the current pace is maintained until the end of this month, Brazilian corn exports could total 5 million tons.<\/p>\n

In the fields, the planting of the summer crop is showing good progress in the main producing regions of the country. According to Conab, as of November 15th, 52.6% of the summer crop area had been planted in Brazil, a weekly increase of 4.9 percentage points, but a slight delay of 0.4 percentage points compared to the average of the last five years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
