For the president of Aprosoja MT, Lucas Costa Beber, the event is fundamental to bringing communicators closer to the sector.

"Concluding today the third Aprosoja Mato Grosso journalism award, and with great satisfaction we close another event that is always an opportunity to be close to the press, a sector so important to our country that helps to give direction, that informs and, above all, also helps to spread our sector," highlighted the president.

In the Video Reporting category, the winner was Pedro Silvestre Dias, from Canal Rural Mato Grosso, with the report "Brazil is a leader in the recycling of agricultural pesticide packaging," showing how the sector promotes good sustainability practices in the disposal of materials.

"The blood of agriculture runs in our veins, and we defend agriculture with great affection. It runs in our veins with passion. This here is more than a trophy for us; this is a testament to what we do with so much love and care," said Pedro.

In the Text Reporting category, first place went to Pollyana Araújo Souza Almeida, from the Portal Primeira Página, with the article “Trust Code: Traceability Connects”.

“It’s an indescribable feeling, I’m very happy for the recognition, for the work I do. I’ve been working in journalism for almost 20 years and today I’m being awarded here. I’m very happy for the recognition from Aprosoja MT, congratulations on the initiative, for valuing good journalism, thank you!”, commented Pollyana.

In addition to awarding the winning journalists, the evening also marked the traditional gathering with the press, bringing the organization closer to these professionals and boosting the partnership between the productive sector and the media.

The works registered in the 2025 edition underwent a rigorous evaluation by the Institutional Judges, namely: the vice-president of the western region of Aprosoja MT, Gilson Antunes de Melo, and...
Vice-President for the South, Laura Battisti Nardes, the coordinating delegate of the Campo Novo do Parecis Nucleus, Clarete Brolio Rezende, the coordinating delegate of the Sapezal Nucleus, Marlise Marafon, and the coordinating delegate of the Lucas do Rio Verde Nucleus, Taisa Botton.

“One of the goals of our board is to communicate with the general public and the journalism that covers this aspect. We were very excited about what was shown, because it conveys the producer's feelings, it brings all the ideas that the producer wants to pass on to society in their daily life, what they do in the fields, which the reporter and the press can then take to the general public,” Gilson emphasized.

Furthermore, the works were also evaluated by a Technical Committee, formed by the head of journalism of the Noticias Agrícolas portal, Aleksander Horta, the presenter and text editor of Agromais TV, Simone Garcia, and the photographer of the Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA), Wenderson Araújo.

“There was a lot of good stuff, and the winner had to do something really different, had to bring a mix of knowledge, technique, and understanding of agriculture, but the team delivered. It was very interesting to give perspective, especially from the urban journalist who writes about agriculture and is beginning to understand this connection, this importance of the rural-urban connection,” commented Aleksander.

Together they evaluated the works with scores from 1 to 5, considering all the criteria defined by the regulations, such as journalistic relevance, narrative quality, visual impact, public benefit, use of information sources, and originality.

The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category received R$20,000, R$15,000, and R$5,000 respectively, with the exception of the winners in the University Journalism category, where the podium received awards of R$15,000, R$10,000, and R$5,000. The winners of the Regional Highlights awards each received R$7,000.

COMPLETE LIST OF WINNERS

Video Report:
1st – Pedro Dias Silvestre
Title: Brazil is a leader in recycling agricultural pesticide packaging.
Rural Channel Mato Grosso

2nd – Bianca Cristina Rodrigues
Title: From Field to Table: How Sustainable Soy Gains Prominence on the Plate and Helps the Lives of Those Who Need It Most
TV Centro América Sinop

3rd – Olmir Cividini
Title: From the Field to the Skies: Mato Grosso Plant Invests in Sustainable Aviation Fuel
Rural Channel Mato Grosso

Text Report:
1st – Pollyana Araújo Souza Almeida
Title: Trust Code: Traceability Connects
First Page Portal

2nd – Kethlyn Moraes Cordeiro
Title: Through reforestation and the restoration of springs, rural producers become guardians of Mato Grosso's water resources.
RD News Journal

3rd – Kessillen Lopes da Silva
Title: From field to table: monitoring reduces pesticide use and ensures sustainable production in Mato Grosso.
G1 Mato Grosso

Audio Report:
1st – Leandro de Almeida Agostini
Title: Agriculture and School: The Disagreement in the Classroom
Radio Centro América FM

2nd – Simone Souza Guedes Quirino Cardoso
Title: Air quality and grain production go hand in hand in Mato Grosso
Radio Bom Jesus FM 92.07

3rd – Wiasmyne Rodrigues de Oliveira
Title: Guardians of the Earth – The Sustainable Future of Agriculture in Mato Grosso
Radio Centro América Easy

Photojournalism:
1st – Leandro Veloso Balbino
Title: Brazilian agriculture doesn't stop; it feeds, moves, and now it also helps us fly cleaner.
Balbino Agro Films

2nd – Francisco Carlos Lima de Oliveira
Title: Handicraft Industry: Rio dos Peixes Experiences a Prosperous Cycle Based on Corn
Newspaper A Gazeta

3rd – Evandro Marcelo de Souza
Title: Hands that generate prosperity
Marcelo Souza Photos

University Journalism:
1st – Raiane Florentino da Silva
Title: No-till Farming: The Sustainable Revolution in the Field that Protects the Soil and the Climate
Record News Sinop

2nd – Haillyn Heiviny Mendes de Barros
Title: Mato Grosso leads biodiesel production and connects soy to the streets of Brazil.
First Page Portal

3rd – Abder Rah Man Khan Jean Baptiste
Title: Climate sensors, software, and machinery accelerate agricultural production and maintain sustainability in Mato Grosso.
G1 Mato Grosso

REGIONAL HIGHLIGHTS

North:
Crislaine Molossi
Title: Legal Reserve: the part of the farm that guarantees balance between countryside and city.
TV Centro América Sinop

South:
Viviane Elisa Petroli
Title: Education in agriculture connects sustainability in the countryside and urban quality of life.
Rural Channel Mato Grosso

East:
Lukas Barbosa Soares
Title: Sustainable agriculture in Querência and its impact on urban life.
Radio Interativa FM 97.9

West:
Elisangela Pereira de Oliveira
Title: Sustainable agriculture planting the future: reforestation, women and innovation at Fazenda 4 de Agosto
Ideal Site MT

Cuiabá Lowlands:
Geovanna Albuquerque Torquato Cavalcante
Title: Corn ethanol in Mato Grosso could boost aviation and put Brazil in a global leadership position in biofuels.
RD News Journal

APROSOJA AWARD 2026

During the event, Lucas Costa Beber also announced the theme for the fourth edition of the Aprosoja MT Journalism Award, which in 2026 will be "Sustainable agriculture that transforms the city from the countryside." Registration will open on April 7th.

"And now, we're taking the opportunity to launch the 4th Aprosoja Journalism Award, which will take place in 2026.
