Brazilian agribusiness exports totaled US$14.95 billion in September, according to data released by the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex). This result represents a 5% increase compared to August and a 6.2% growth compared to September 2024, sustaining the sector's positive momentum.<\/p>\n

The soybean complex was the main highlight of the month. Brazil shipped 7.3 million tons of grains, an increase of 20% compared to the same period last year, with average prices stable at US$423.1 per ton. China accounted for 9% of the exported volume. Soybean meal shipments increased by 1%, totaling 2.1 million tons, but prices fell by 2%, to US$315.7\/t. Soybean oil, in turn, showed a decrease of 2% in exported volume, while the average price rose by 2%, to US$1,149.6\/t.<\/p>\n

In the animal protein sector, performance was record-breaking. Fresh beef reached 315,000 tons, the highest volume ever recorded for a single month, 25% above September of last year. Prices rose for the sixth consecutive month, reaching US$5,617\/t, a 24% increase year-on-year.<\/p>\n

Exports of fresh chicken meat totaled 415,000 tons, a growth of 20% compared to August and a slight increase of 0.2% compared to 2024, with an average price of US$1,828.3\/t. Fresh pork also registered a record volume: 134,000 tons, 25% higher than in September of the previous year, with a stable price compared to August and 3.3% higher in the annual comparison (US$2,581.6\/t).<\/p>\n

In the sugar and ethanol sector, ethanol was the positive highlight, with a 61% increase in exports, totaling 265,000 m\u00b3, although with a 3.5% decrease in prices, to US$534.6\/m\u00b3. VHP sugar, on the other hand, showed a 16% reduction in shipments, with 2.9 million tons exported, and refined sugar fell by 23%, totaling 339,000 tons, both with a decline in prices.<\/p>\n

Corn maintained its strong performance, with 7.6 million tons exported, 18% above the volume recorded in September 2024, and average prices 5% higher, reaching US$201.1\/t.<\/p>\n

Conversely, total Brazilian exports to the United States amounted to US$2.6 billion, registering a decrease of 20% compared to September 2024 and 9% compared to August 2025, a direct reflection of the tariffs imposed by Washington. Within this amount, agribusiness accounted for US$672 million, a decrease of 4% year-on-year.<\/p>\n

Among the most affected products are wood, paper, coffee, and meat, especially green coffee, whose exports fell by 471% in volume and 31.5% in revenue, totaling US$113.8 million. The impact was so significant that the topic was included on the agenda of the videoconference between the presidents of Brazil and the United States, held on October 6.<\/p>\n

While tariffs remain unchanged with no prospect of reversal, Brazilian agribusiness maintains its resilience in Asian and Latin American markets, supporting a solid trade balance in 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
