Brazilian corn exports intensified in September, with the volume shipped in the first part of the month already exceeding the total for the same period in 2024 by 3%.<\/p>\n

According to researchers at Cepea, the improvement in the pace of shipments is due to deals made in advance, given that liquidity at the ports is slower.<\/p>\n

In turn, researchers at Cepea explain that the slowdown at the ports is due to the fact that prices in Paranagu\u00e1 (PR) and Santos (SP) are operating very close to those practiced in the national market, thus reducing the interest of sellers in new export transactions.<\/p>\n

According to data from Secex, exports in September (partial, considering the first 20 working days) totaled 6.6 million tons, above the volume recorded in the same month last year.<\/p>\n

In the 2024\/25 crop year (from February 2025 to part of September 2025), shipments totaled 18.8 million tons, 4% below the volume shipped in the same period of 2024.<\/p>\n

For the coming weeks, researchers at Cepea indicate that the pace of shipments may slow down again. This is because Brazilian grain is expected to face strong competition with the arrival of the record harvest from the United States.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
