The price of a 15 kg unit of live cattle in Mato Grosso registered a slight decrease of 0.31%, with an average of R$ of 295.98. According to a survey conducted by the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (IMEA), this disparity increased the basis differential (MT-SP) to -5.13%, a reduction of 0.66 percentage points compared to August.<\/p>\n

\nThe main reason for this difference is the increased supply of finished cattle. This movement has put pressure on fat cattle prices, mainly in Mato Grosso, while demand in S\u00e3o Paulo remains stronger, guaranteeing higher prices there.<\/p>\n

\nMarket expectations suggest this scenario could change by the end of the year, with a trend towards recovery in cattle prices, which could narrow the price difference between the two states. The future of this differential will depend on the dynamics between supply and demand in the coming weeks, a crucial period for Brazilian livestock farming.<\/p>\n

In the previous week, the price of 12@ lean cattle in the state of Mato Grosso fell by 2.89% between weeks, being quoted on average at R$ 342.60\/@, due to lower demand for the category.<\/p>\n

The Mato Grosso Institute also highlighted that industries continue to have comfortable slaughter schedules, averaging 13.50 working days, an increase of 0.19% compared to the previous week. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Imea also reported that due to the extension of slaughter schedules by meatpacking plants, the price of live cattle on a forward basis fell 1.09% last week, being quoted on average at R$ 295.00\/@.\u00a0<\/p>\n
