The Government of Goi\u00e1s recorded a trade surplus of US$5.5 billion from January to August 2025. This result represents an increase of US$81 compared to the same period in 2024, and reflects exports worth US$9 billion, positioning the state as the eighth largest exporter in Brazil throughout the year. Imports totaled US$3.5 billion, resulting in the eleventh position as the state that imports the most nationally. The data is from the Superintendence of Foreign Trade and Attraction of International Investments, released by the Secretariat of Industry, Commerce and Services (SIC).<\/p>\n
\u201cGoi\u00e1s remains competitive in the international market, and we are working to further expand Goi\u00e1s' presence in foreign trade by focusing on opening new markets for our products,\u201d emphasizes the head of SIC, Joel de Sant'Anna Braga Filho. In August 2025 alone, the trade balance showed a positive balance of US$637 million, with export values of US$1 billion and imports of US$405 million, a positive variation of 48.80% compared to the same month last year.<\/p>\n
Taking into account the first eight months of the year, the soybean complex led the export agenda, representing 54.42% of the state's external sales, followed by exports of meat (18.15%), ferroalloys (6.17%), sugar (4.27%) and corn complex (4.24%).<\/p>\n
Among the municipalities of Goi\u00e1s, Rio Verde remains prominent as the state's main exporting city, representing 27.59% of Goi\u00e1s' exports from January to August 2025. Following are Jata\u00ed (7.8%), Mozarl\u00e2ndia (4.52%), Palmeiras de Goi\u00e1s (4.02%), and Alto Horizonte (3.19%).<\/p>\n
In 2025, Goi\u00e1s' exports were mainly destined for China, which remains the state's largest trading partner, accounting for 48.51% of total exports. The Asian country is also the main source of Goi\u00e1s' imports, concentrated in An\u00e1polis (39.15%), representing 23.39% of the total value.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
