The Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (Abiove) released its projections for the Soybean Complex in 2025. The data confirm the outlook for a record year for the sector and were accompanied by positive results in monthly performance. Estimates for the year remain at high levels.<\/p>\n
Soybean production is expected to reach 170.3 million tons, while crushing is projected at 58.5 million tons, an increase of 0.7%. Production of soybean meal and soybean oil is expected to total 45.1 million and 11.7 million tons, respectively, increases of 0.7% and 0.4%.<\/p>\n

According to Daniel Furlan Amaral, Director of Economics and Regulatory Affairs at Abiove, the growth in crushing shows that the industry maintains a consistent pace, sustained by the demand for soybean meal and exports, in addition to the increase in domestic consumption of oil for biodiesel. "The advancement of B15 reinforces the role of biodiesel as one of the main drivers of the chain and consolidates the product as the most efficient and sustainable biofuel available in the world," he emphasizes.<\/p>\n
In the external scenario, the outlook remains positive. Brazil is expected to export 109.5 million tons of soybeans. Exports of soybean meal are expected to remain at 23.6 million tons, as are those of soybean oil, projected at 1.35 million tons. Imports of soybean oil are estimated at 100,000 tons, while soybean imports are expected to increase by 800,000 tons, to supplement the supply in the domestic market.<\/p>\n
In July, processing totaled 4.7 million tons, an increase of 3.41 TP4T compared to June. Compared to July 2024, the increase was 6.11 TP4T, when adjusted for the sample percentage. In the accumulated year, processing reached 30.6 million tons, a growth of 6.11 TP4T compared to the same period of the previous year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
