Brazil has just gained another foothold in the international market with the conclusion of sanitary agreements authorizing the shipment of live cattle for breeding, bovine genetic material such as semen and embryos, as well as fry, fertile eggs and day-old chicks to Burkina Faso.<\/p>\n

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa), these new market openings have the potential to strengthen Brazil's presence in African countries, a region seen as strategic by the government due to its rapid population growth and the need to modernize livestock production. For Burkina Faso, the measure means access to technologies and products with higher added value, capable of improving the genetic quality of herds and expanding animal protein production.<\/p>\n

With this announcement, Brazilian agribusiness has reached 434 market openings in 72 countries since the beginning of 2023, a result of negotiations conducted in partnership by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
