Brazil has achieved an important milestone: the authorization of 46 establishments to export poultry and pork meal to China. This authorization marks a significant step forward in the trade relationship with Brazil's largest agricultural partner and opens up new opportunities for the animal recycling sector.<\/p>\n

This new stage was only possible after the signing of the bilateral Sanitary Protocol in April 2023, followed by on-site audits conducted by the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC), and the completion of the sanitary certificate model agreed between the competent authorities of the two countries.<\/p>\n

In total, 46 poultry and pork meal establishments were approved. Four other fish meal establishments were also approved. The authorization covers units with different production profiles, expanding the scope of companies qualified to serve the Chinese market.<\/p>\n

The qualification is the result of joint work between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa), the Agricultural Attach\u00e9 in Beijing, the Brazilian Embassy in Beijing, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the national private sector, which acted in a coordinated manner to meet the requirements established by the Chinese authorities.<\/p>\n

China remains the main destination for Brazilian agricultural exports. In 2024, the Asian country imported more than US$1,500,000 worth of Brazilian agricultural products. Specifically, in the offal meal segment, which now includes poultry and pork meal, purchases totaled more than US$1,500,000. In addition to its commercial importance, the accreditation also reinforces Brazil's role in advancing sustainable solutions for agriculture. The export of animal meal integrates circular economy practices by transforming waste into inputs valued by global industry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
