Imea (Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics) released a report providing updates on the state's corn harvest. The survey highlights that productivity for the 2024\/25 corn harvest is expected to be higher than initially estimated, which will also translate into an increase in the state's projected corn production.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Institute's technicians indicated that the current Mato Grosso corn harvest should have an average productivity of 126.25 bags per hectare, which is 7.23% higher than estimated last month and 9.23% higher than that recorded in the 2023\/24 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"This increase is a result of the good rainfall recorded throughout the cycle, including areas planted outside the ideal window, which favored crop development, especially during the grain-filling phase. This increased production potential in the state's main producing regions," explains Imea.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As a result, Mato Grosso's total production is now estimated at 54.02 million tons, a level 14.52% higher than that recorded in the previous cycle, which makes this 2024\/25 season the largest ever recorded in Imea data.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As the crop develops and harvest progresses, corn sales in Mato Grosso are also improving. According to the Institute's report, 50,961 TP4T of this production has already been sold in the state, an increase of 3.35 percentage points compared to the previous survey.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThis percentage was only not higher due to the price retraction in Jun\/25 of 4.23% when compared to May\/25, which averaged R$ 42.55\/sc\u201d, consider the Imea technicians.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
