Despite falling compared to the previous month, Brazilian pork exports in May were a record for the period, taking into account the Secex historical series that began in 1997.<\/p>\n
According to data from Secex analyzed by Cepea, 117.5 thousand tons of protein were shipped in May, 8.1% less than in April, but 13.7% above the amount recorded in May\/24.<\/p>\n
Since April 2024, Brazil has been exporting more than 100 thousand tons of pork per month, which is a milestone for the national sector.<\/p>\n
In the domestic market, Cepea researchers explain that, after a second half of May with falling prices for both live pigs placed in the industry and meat, prices reacted from June 3 to 10 in most of the regions monitored.<\/p>\n
The pace of business was steady, in a period of traditional increase in demand, due to the population's greater purchasing power, according to the Research Center.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
