The survey highlights that the corn supply for the 2024\/25 cycle is 50.56 million tons, an increase of 2.6% compared to the estimate in May\/25 and 4.18% compared to the 2023\/24 harvest.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The area was estimated at 7.13 million hectares, an increase of 4.85% compared to the previous cycle. As for productivity, the Institute projected 117.74 sc\/ha.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis progress reflects the good development of crops until the end of May\/25, and the rains that remained present until the end of the month. As a result, even areas that were sown outside the \u201cideal\u201d window benefited from these precipitations\u201d, the report points out.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Regarding demand, the forecast for the 24\/25 season is 50.04 million tons, an increase of 2.56% compared to May\/25 and 3.49% higher than the 23\/24 harvest.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis increase was driven mainly by the growth in consumption in Mato Grosso, which rose 4.31% compared to the last harvest, leveraged by the increase of 9.35% in consumption by corn ethanol plants, responsible for 76.63% of state consumption.
