The new Coamo warehouse in Campina da Lagoa (Central-Western Paran\u00e1) has approximately 50% of construction completed and began receiving the harvest last Tuesday (27). The first load delivered was second-harvest corn, carried out by cooperative member Eliseu Barbosa de Carvalho and his son, Eder Garcia Barbosa.<\/p>\n

The complex already has a functioning dryer, three silos, tippers, a hopper, a scale and a silo. When completed, the structure will have two dryers with a capacity of 150 tons per hour and six silos with a total static capacity of one million bags. The unit is expected to be inaugurated between December of this year and January 2026.<\/p>\n
According to Tiburcio, the initial investment in the project is R$120 million. \u201cThe new unit will make things easier for cooperative members in the region, who previously had to transport their produce to Juranda or Altamira do Paran\u00e1,\u201d he explains. The distance, which previously varied between 30 and 40 kilometers, will now be reduced with local delivery.<\/p>\n
The unit will also have a four thousand square meter warehouse for inputs, which should be completed by the end of June. The space will be used to deliver seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and limestone, in addition to meeting the demand for credit and technical assistance. \u201cThe structure is already robust, with more than 300 members being served since the beginning\u201d, highlights the manager.<\/p>\n

The estimate is that the unit will initially serve around 100 members from the Juranda region, 100 from Altamira do Paran\u00e1 and more than 60 new members and members in the registration process.<\/p>\n
The delivery by the Barbosa family symbolically marked the start of operations. \u201cIt was a long-awaited moment. Truly a dream come true,\u201d says Tiburcio. He adds that the new unit represents an important step for Coamo and for the cooperative members in the region. \u201cThis production, which was previously taken out of the municipality, will now remain here, generating local income and strengthening the cooperative\u2019s presence in Campina da Lagoa.\u201d<\/p>\n
The inaugural delivery represents the beginning of work on the warehouse, which was eagerly awaited by producers in the region. \u201cIt is a joy to be the first to deliver here at this new unit that has been so dreamed of in Campina da Lagoa,\u201d says Eder Barbosa.<\/p>\n

Until then, all of the family's production was taken to the Coamo unit in Altamira do Paran\u00e1. \u201cWe would like to give special thanks to the Altamira team, who have served us with dedication for many years,\u201d says Eder.<\/p>\n
The new unit, located close to the family property, brings logistical and operational benefits. \u201cIt is much closer to our home, making access easier and saving on transportation.\u201d<\/p>\n
With a modern structure, the unit was designed to offer greater agility and safety in receiving grains. \u201cIt is a complete unit, with great convenience for producers. The classification, weighing, unloading and even the safety for drivers were very well thought out\u201d, explains Eder.<\/p>\n
For the cooperative members, the delivery of the first load is the beginning of a new cycle. \u201cGod willing, we will be the first of many to come. This unit has everything it needs to reach great numbers.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
