In the Terra Roxa community, in the rural area of Ju\u00edna, Mato Grosso, the routine of the coffee industry has taken on a new rhythm. Producers like Aldir Vasconcelos, who cultivates almost 9,000 coffee plants, are reaping the benefits of learning, organization and results with the support of Technical and Management Assistance (ATEG) from the National Rural Learning Service of Mato Grosso (Senar\/MT).<\/p>\n
The program offers technical and managerial support for rural production, with a practical and personalized focus. The regular presence of field technician Davi Gomes, accredited by Senar\/MT, has made a difference.<\/p>\n
\u201cI used to plant, but I lacked knowledge. Today, with the visits from Senar, I learned how to take better care of the plants, treat them at the right time and even keep track of the costs. Coffee has become a business,\u201d says Aldir, pleased with the progress.<\/p>\n
ATeG's proposal goes beyond technique. The work is developed together with the producer, respecting the reality of each property and helping to transform knowledge into action.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe goal is to show that it is possible to improve what the producer already has. We work together, side by side, looking for practical solutions that fit into their routine,\u201d explains technician Davi Gomes.<\/p>\n
ATeG's work in Ju\u00edna is monitored by supervisor Ianna Alves, who highlights the importance of family involvement and the bonds built in the field.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\u201cATeG is about knowledge-based transformation. When the producer understands what he is doing, working on the management side, he feels more valued,\u201d says Ianna.<\/p>\n
In addition to the technical aspects, the success of the program also depends on local support. The Rural Union of Ju\u00edna is a direct partner in mobilizing producers and monitoring the actions. For Jo\u00e3o dos Reis, the union's mobilizer, proximity to producers is essential.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe know the families, we know about the difficulties and we follow them closely. When Senar brings a program like this, we make a point of mobilizing, because we know it works.\u201d<\/p>\n
The president of the Union, Jos\u00e9 Lino Rodrigues, reinforces that the role of the entity is precisely this: to ensure that rural producers have access to growth opportunities.<\/p>\n
\u201cSmall producers need technical support and guidance to grow. With ATeG, they are not alone \u2014 they receive quality support, ongoing guidance and learn to make safer decisions. The union is a partner because it believes that investing in knowledge is investing in the future of our agriculture.
