The Goi\u00e1s Agricultural Defense Agency (Agrodefesa) informs that the official deadline for the mandatory declaration of all livestock existing on rural properties spread across the 246 municipalities of Goi\u00e1s begins next Thursday (01\/05). The declaration must be made through the Goi\u00e1s Agricultural Defense System (Sidago), using a login and password exclusive to the property owner.<\/p>\n
\nAgrodefesa's guidance is that the data included in the declaration be compatible with the reality of the property, including registration, number of animals, deaths, births and herd evolution. In this first stage, as stated in Ordinance No. 246\/2025, livestock farmers have until June 30 to enter the data into Sidago. The declaration is made twice a year, the first in May and June and the second from November to December.<\/p>\n

With updated data, we can act quickly and assertively in the face of any health incident, in addition to planning health measures and agricultural defense in the state,\u201d says Agrodefesa\u2019s Animal Health Manager, Denise Toledo.<\/p>\n
\nVaccination<\/strong> \nVaccination also complies with the guidelines of Ordinance No. 246\/2025, published by Agrodefesa, and will be the last mandatory vaccination. As of July of this year, immunization will become strategic, as defined by Normative Instruction No. 01\/2025. In this new phase, immunization will only be required on properties with a confirmed focus of the disease and recommended in perifocal areas, within a radius of up to 12 kilometers from the focus.<\/p>\n \nVaccines against rabies for herbivores must be purchased from retailers registered with Agrodefesa between April 29 and June 15. Inspections will be carried out weekly by the Official Veterinary Service, which is Agrodefesa, and non-compliance may result in penalties provided for by law,\u201d warns the Agency's Director of Agricultural Defense, Rafael Vieira.
