The Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (Abiove) released its projections for the performance of the Soybean Complex in 2025. Despite occasional downward revisions in some indicators, the entity maintains the expectation of a new record for the sector next year.<\/p>\n

Soybean production was adjusted to 169.6 million tons, a slight decrease of 0.8% compared to the previous estimate. The volume of soybeans destined for crushing should remain stable, with a forecast of 57.5 million tons. The production of soybean meal and soybean oil also remains unchanged, estimated at 44.1 million and 11.4 million tons, respectively.<\/p>\n

In the export scenario, the outlook remains positive. The projection for soybean grain shipments rose 2.31TP4Q, totaling 108.5 million tons. Exports of soybean meal and soybean oil are expected to remain at 23.6 million and 1.4 million tons, respectively.<\/p>\n

Imports also remain within expectations: Brazil should import 500,000 tons of soybeans to complement domestic supply, while external purchases of soybean oil should remain at 100,000 tons, a volume that had already been revised downwards to 50% in the previous estimate.<\/p>\n

Monthly data<\/strong>
Regarding the most recent data, soybean processing in February was 3.54 million tons, an increase of 5.2% compared to January. However, there was a decrease of 2.9% compared to February 2024, considering the sample adjustment. In the year to date, the processed volume reached 6.9 million tons, a decrease of 3% compared to the same period last year.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
