\nThe objectives of the update include aligning the state regulatory framework with federal legislation, reinforcing the legal distinction between bioinputs and pesticides, reviewing concepts, categories and sanctions based on technical and consistent inspection, encouraging sustainable practices and expanding incentives for the use of biological inputs in Goi\u00e1s.<\/p>\n
\nThe president of Agrodefesa, Jos\u00e9 Ricardo Caixeta Ramos, highlights that Goi\u00e1s was a pioneer in creating the State Bioinputs Program in 2021, and once again reinforces its commitment to staying up to date with public policies and sustainable practices applied to agriculture. \u201cWe were a reference for other states with the publication of state legislation and now we seek to further strengthen and innovate sustainable production systems by updating the legislation on the use of bioinputs in the state,\u201d he emphasizes.<\/p>\n
\nNext steps<\/strong>
\nWith the end of the consultation period, the contributions will be analyzed by the Working Group, formed by employees from Agrodefesa and Seapa, and may be incorporated into the final version of the legislative proposal. The WG should also present this semester the proposal for a specific model of incentive, management and inspection for bioinputs at the state level, in addition to the draft of a new State Law on Bioinputs, including aspects of inspection, registration and incentives, which did not exist in the 2021 document.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n\n\u201cJust as it does with pesticides, Agrodefesa will monitor the trade, transportation, use and production of bio-inputs in production units for their own use, to ensure compliance with legal requirements. These are ways of systematizing and ensuring quality issues, which can affect the production and productivity of Goi\u00e1s\u2019 agriculture,\u201d emphasizes Leonardo Macedo, Agrodefesa\u2019s Plant Health Manager.<\/p>\n
\nOther aspects that will also be taken into account by the group include the review of the State Law on Pesticides (State Law No. 19,423\/2016) and its regulatory decree (State Decree No. 9,286\/2018). \u201cSince a large part of the bioinputs are linked to plant production, replacing or complementing the action of chemical pesticides, this work also includes issues related to the State Law on Pesticides, where we may present, if necessary, a proposal aligned with the new federal guidelines\u201d, adds Leonardo.<\/p>\n
