Surveys by the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) show that Brazilian exports of poultry genetics (fertile eggs and 1-day-old chicks) generated 18.4% higher revenue in March this year, totaling US$$ 22.3 million, compared to US$$ 18.8 million recorded in the same period last year.<\/p>\n
Volumes shipped in the third month of this year totaled 1,777 tons, a drop of 35.1% compared to the same month last year, when the total was 2,738 tons.<\/p>\n
In the first quarter, export revenue reached US$$ 62 million, 7.6% more than the US$$ 57.6 million recorded in the same period of 2024. The exported volume was 5,668 tons, a reduction of 27.8% compared to the 7,853 tons of last year.<\/p>\n
Mexico, the main destination for March exports, imported 764 tonnes, a decrease of 29.7% compared to the same month in 2024. Other destinations are Senegal, with 305 tonnes (-28.4%), Paraguay, with 259 tonnes (+8.9%), Venezuela, with 228 tonnes (+148.8%) and Colombia, with 55 tonnes (+70.1%).<\/p>\n
