
The market of corn In the southern states and parts of the Midwest, negotiations are sporadic, with buyers cautious and producers selective in their offerings. According to a survey by TF Agroeconômica, demand concentrated on replenishing stocks and the slower pace of exports are limiting activity in different markets.
In Rio Grande do Sul, transactions are occurring between R$ 60 and R$ 69 per sack. Data from Emater indicates an increase of 1.84% in the average state price, from R$ 61.54 to R$ 62.67. At the Cruz Alta Grain Exchange, available corn is priced at R$ 75. Industries are prioritizing replacement purchases, while producers are restricting new lots.
In Santa Catarina, prices are close to R$ 60 per sack, but demand is around R$ 55, a difference that makes agreements difficult. The recurring corn deficit keeps the state dependent on supplies from other regions, in a scenario where domestic consumption is more important for distribution.
In Paraná, purchase indications are close to R$ 60, while demand revolves around R$ 55 per sack CIF. Even with producers holding back, there were declines in several regions. In the West, the price fell 1.90%, to R$ 53.12, while in the North Central region it decreased 1.01%, to R$ 63.39. Cascavel saw a drop of 1.74%, to R$ 56.03. Londrina bucked the trend, with an increase of 0.33%, to R$ 63.61.
In Mato Grosso do Sul, prices range from R$ 53 to R$ 56 per sack, following a series of price increases. Dourados saw the largest drop among the monitored markets, while Maracaju registered a slight increase. The bioenergy industry continues to absorb part of the supply, but other buyers prioritize replenishment, without expanding stocks.
