PT_BR Two Arab countries, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, were among the main destinations for Brazilian chicken meat exports in 2025. The Emirates were the largest buyer, with 479,900 tons and an increase of 5.51% of the total export volume (TP4T) compared to 2024. Saudi Arabia was in third position among international destinations, with purchases of 397,200 tons and an increase of 7.11% of the total export volume (TP4T) compared to the previous year.
The information was released on Tuesday (06) by the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA). According to the entity, Japan was the second largest buyer of Brazilian chicken meat, with 402.9 thousand tons, but a drop of 0.9% compared to 2024, South Africa was the fourth largest importer, with 336 thousand tons (+3.3%), and the Philippines came in fifth place, with 264.2 thousand tons (+12.5%).

ABPA celebrated the positive export results for 2025, despite the occurrence of avian flu in the country. Foreign sales totaled 5.324 million tons, exceeding the total exported in 2024 by 0.6%. This volume represented a new record for annual exports in the sector, according to ABPA. Revenue, however, decreased slightly, by 1.4%, totaling US$9.790 billion.
“The year was marked by the sector's resilience and the overcoming of one of the greatest challenges in the history of national poultry farming, with the registration of an outbreak, now resolved, of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in commercial birds. Closing the year with positive results, as predicted by ABPA, is an achievement to be celebrated and reinforces the projected outlook for 2026, expanding the Brazilian presence in the global market,” said ABPA president Ricardo Santin in a released statement.
