The State Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Seapa) released this Thursday (28) the August edition of Goiano Dairy Sector Market Bulletin. Prepared by the Technical and Conciliation Chamber of the Goiás Dairy Chain, the bulletin monitors price variations of the main dairy products in the state wholesale market.
According to the survey, the sector saw distinct fluctuations among products in August. Whole UHT milk was the only item in the basket to appreciate, rising 0.68%. Among the products that declined, bulk cream stood out, registering the largest decline in the period, at 16.62%. Also declining were mozzarella cheese (-3.59%), whole milk powder (-3.38%), and condensed milk (-0.80%). Considering all items, the overall sector index fell 3.08% compared to July.
The Seapa secretary emphasized that the data helps understand market behavior. "The numbers show that the dairy sector remains in a phase of adjustment, but they also indicate that there is room for recovery," he stated.
